What is PSC (Persons with Significant Control)?

The PSC register is maintained by Companies House to record individuals who have significant control over a company, including directors, shareholders, secretaries, or other beneficiaries. It is a legal requirement to update this information once a company becomes active.

Following your purchase and transfer of a ready-made company, we notify Companies House of the new PSC. However, this does not include the transfer of shares, which can only be completed by filing the Confirmation Statement. To assist with this process, we provide an industry-standard Share Transfer Form—a legally binding document.

You can file the Confirmation Statement (CS) yourself immediately (Companies House fee: £34), provided you are AMLR-compliant. Alternatively, you may wait until the company’s anniversary (DATE STATEMENT DUE). However, delaying the filing may impact your ability to open a business account.

To avoid complications, we recommend filing the CS as soon as possible. If you prefer, we can handle this for you for a total fee of £44, which includes the £34 government fee. A payment link for this service will be provided following the transfer.

The Money Laundering Regulations came into effect on March 1, 2008, imposing stricter obligations on us—as well as any individual, firm, or company that provides services related to the formation, operation, or management of a company or trust.

The practical implications of these regulations are as follows

1. Purchase of a Readymade Company
2. Provision of Registered Office or Director Service Address
3. Provision of any nominee officer or shareholder or PSC service
4. Purchase of 2 new registration or more

We will require the details and documentation listed below

Proof of ID of a director to the aforementioned company, WHO should be the card payer, where this is not the case the person making payment MUST also provide the following ID documents:

Required
Proof of Address – Utility bill, bank statement etc., (Must be recent maximum 3 months old)
Picture ID – Passport, Drivers licence etc. (Must have at least 6 months to run)
Selfie - Take a selfie whilst holding something showing the date of presentation (can be a piece of paper with date hand written)

We cannot complete the company transfer, forward any mail or documents onto the new owners until the requested ID documents are received
